The Arima platform of
Bolschare Group, the only one capable of measuring the direct and indirect impact of CO2.
Aenor concludes that the carbon footprint calculator is a pioneer and the only one that certifies under the ISO 14064 standard.
Bolschare Group’s Arima Platform, which allows to measure with millimeter precision the environmental commitment of companies, sectors and countries, has been recognized by Aenor as the only agricultural carbon footprint calculator in the world capable of determining the direct and indirect impact of CO2 emissions.
Bolschare Group, dedicated to the management of agricultural, energy and medical assets, and Aenor, the company that audited Arima’s capabilities, announced today that the carbon footprint calculator powered by the Group is the only one in the world to certify under ISO 14064, the basis for accounting for greenhouse gas emissions.
According to Arima’s promoters, the most widely used way to measure the carbon footprint is the GHG Protocol, a method that separates gas emissions into three scopes.
Scope 1 corresponds to direct emissions from a company or organization’s fuel consumption; Scope 2 includes indirect emissions from purchased energy; and Scope 3 groups the remaining indirect emissions in the value chain.
Aenor’s certification is a milestone insofar as, for the first time, a tool of these characteristics includes carbon measurements for scopes 1 and 2 (direct actions) and for scope 3 (indirect actions).
